Ladybridge Leatherworks
About Me
I am a bridle maker based near Swindon who is able to offer you a range of bespoke leather goods and other equestrian items that will match your equestrian vision.
As a young girl I dreamt about a future that involved me working with horses. Ladybridge Leatherworks is me realising this dream.
I started to learn how to make bridles in 2014 following the death of my father (I lost my Mum 4 years prior), when I took a flight up to the Scottish Borders and stepped into the workshop at Saddlery Training Scotland (http://www.saddlerytrainingscotland.com/) for the first time. I was instantly hooked on the skill as I made those first (wonky) stitches and completed my first equestrian items. I cannot describe the sense of joy that I had in coming home and creating a collar with my own hands for my beautiful boxer dog Soli. Since that first trip I have been practising and refining my skills, taking as many opportunities as I could to increase the range of techniques that I had to offer customers.
Part of this expansion has been to start offering bespoke and colourful stirrups and spurs, whether this is a touch of colour to highlight your dressage look, or big bold colours to match your cross country colours.
I have created pieces for all equestrian disciplines, dressage, showing and eventing . Would you and your horse/dog like to be my next client?
